In Defense of Basics
If you read my recent post, you might remember that I stained my white tee at my summer camp job. I’m here to say that I did, in fact, remove the stain! Yee haw! Even though I’ve been adoring basic pieces lately, I feel like they get a bad wrap in the fashion world. In defense of basics, not every outfit has to be blingy, attention grabbing, and colorful. Sometimes, wearing a white tee with a simple skirt is so stylish. Basics are timeless, and allow the focus of your fit to be yourself rather than what you’re clothed in. It also gives your accessories a chance to shine, too! I’ve figured out that outfits like this make me feel the most confident. Even though I love dressing up and wearing bold makeup, I’m most myself when I’m in a simple tee and jeans or a skirt. I wore this fit on an outing to get lunch at my favorite burrito restaurant, so I thought I’d share.
